I had so much fun in Saint Louis, Austin, and San Antonio on leg one of this tour! What an absolute honor to meet so many of you, to reconnect with DEAR friends, to exchange friendship bracelets (which is even cuter than I thought it would be 🥹), and to share a book I poured my heart into with your beautiful hearts! HUGE thank you to @beyondanetwork & @stpauls.satx for having me!!!

I got to go to a new state and city (St. Louis hey!) and had the absolute mom luxury of traveling in an airport without a stroller (I only had to scroll misty-eyed at photos of my children … every hour?).

Mostly, I have been trying to let myself really absorb the unbelievably kind things yall have said about my book and to me IRL. Normally, when I read effusive comments I read them quickly and offer a quick prayer of gratitude and move on… because I am both actually pretty introverted and it’s very daunting to relate to so many people, and and and I’m very cautious of letting this *get to me.* But right now I’m trying to practice what I preach and let this love be part of love for and of God in a time when that feels scarce. So thank YOU for being in part of what is keeping me hopeful and joyful right now. Meeting you all also really affirms how cool you are 🥰

Also thank you to everyone leaving reviews everywhere, I’m reading every single one and gosh they mean a lot to me. And!! It gives me great delight to disrupt title lists with books like “The Sin of Empathy” and “Toxic Empathy” and books about Christian Nationalism with this colorful letter of God’s liberating love.
